Located approximately six miles from Wakefield in West Yorkshire lies the agricultural village of Woolley, home of St. Peter’s Church.

Some light and insightful research places the village in Medieval times (with a mention in the Doomsday book of ‘Wiluelai’). The name Woolley is derived from Old English, as a description for a wolves’ shelter ‘Wulf-laye’.
The church itself is a Grade I Listed Building and the location for many family occasions, holding a special place to the local people of West Yorkshire and beyond.
