This Trans-Pennine Trail art print depicts another of Vicki's memories of her days riding through the South Yorkshire countryside on her pony.
Now part of the Trans-Pennine Trail, ‘the old railway line’ at Silkstone Common was right next to the livery yard where I used to ride, so it was a regular off-road route for me and my friends.
Linking up with trails into nearby woodland and quiet country lanes, it was an arterial route for me to explore the countryside in the ‘80s and ‘90s. It’s peppered with remnants of its coal industry past, each with its own story to tell.
For me, it will always be the ‘old railway line’ and a source of nostalgia for my riding past, where it was just me and my pony and the open trail!

Just wanted to say a big thank you for the speedy arrival of the lovely prints and the surprise of the bonus beautiful scarf. All was packaged carefully and securely and I loved the outer recycled map packaging which I intend to re use in some of my collage and watercolour work, so will have been recycled! Can't wait to frame my new prints.
