Brought to life from my own winter photography trip. I spent a wonderful week travelling around this historic gem of a town all from the comfort of my desk chair! This print is based closely on photographs I took back in the winter of 2025, capturing the main road into town with the legendary, iconic overhead gallows sign of The George Hotel framing the view. It brings back fond memories of a birthday weekend away with Steve, pottering through the historic streets and enjoying happy hour negronis at The Cosy Club.
Did you know that Stamford was named the first conservation area in England and Wales in 1967 to protect its unique historic look? Its scenic streets are so beautiful they have even appeared in TV and film adaptations like Pride and Prejudice and The Crown. This piece celebrates one of my absolute favourite towns on the edge of Lincolnshire, Rutland, and Northamptonshire.
The Details: A vibrant, textured digital collage that brings the architectural magic and golden Ancaster limestone of Stamford straight into your home.
