St Ives Art Print

St Ives is a much visited fishing town in South Cornwall, loved by artists for its light, many enjoying the opportunity for en plein air painting. It's rabbit warren of tiny cobbled streets, fishing history, locally produced food and artisan products combine to create a charming place to visit at any time of year.

Represented and recreated a myriad of times over by artists and photographers, I was keen to try for a different composition, one not commonly reproduced. This design features the lush flowers and foliage found in hedgerows and at the edges of paths and roads, leading the eye across Porthmeor Beach to the island and St Nicholas Chapel in the distance.
