This is a place of special significance for me and my husband. This is where, on 29th December (my birthday) 2021, he asked me to marry him!

He chose the location because, in his words: “You can see the trees from anywhere in Taunton. You will always be able to look up and see them ... and remember.”
The trees sit atop the Quantock Hills AONB that flank one side of the Vale of Taunton. Originally a clump of 15 beech trees, over time their numbers reduced to just seven, hence the name. Now just three of the originals remain, though more recent additions are to be seen standing close by having been planted to ensure this beloved local landmark lives on.
