Roath Park in Cardiff was one of the city’s first public parks. Opened in 1894, it still retains its Victorian heritage with classic layout, linear parks and feature lake.
This popular pleasure park and gardens is divided into sections, each designed with a specific purpose, providing a range of horticultural and nature conservation activities.
The Scott Memorial featured in this print was presented to the city of Cardiff by the owner of Scott’s ship, the Terra Nova. Mr FC Bowring donated the clocktower as a permanent memorial to Captain Scott and the British Antarctic Expedition.
