Inspired by crisp walks and old stone crossings. This print traces the tranquil banks of the River Welland as it flows through the heart of Stamford. The design began at my desk, working from the personal photographs I took during a winter trip to this beautiful area. It holds a very cosy place in my heart, reminding me of a brilliant weekend spent celebrating Steve’s birthday – from our freezing cold walks to finding some amazing Turkish food inside an incredibly old building just around the corner from our upside-down accommodation.

The River Welland is actually central to the town's history; the very name 'Stamford' comes from an old stony crossing (ford) right across these waters. Built from layers of rich textures, this landscape print captures the peace of the river against the town's famous golden limestone backdrop.
