Parrock Hill Art Print

Two landscapes, one sense of place.

This print is part of a pair, created together to celebrate the unique landscape across the East Somerset and Dorset border.

The pair of prints brings together Parrock Hill and Cadbury Castle, capturing the character of the Somerset landscape and the layers of history, memory and story held within it.

Parrock Hill offers an understated beauty, with its gentle contours, open fields and expansive skies reflecting the quiet character of the Somerset countryside. Part of the landscape that connects East Somerset with the Dorset border, it is a place where the land itself takes centre stage – familiar, unassuming and full of subtle detail. For those who have walked the Corton Ridgeline or followed the Monarch's Way, Parrock Hill is part of the wider landscape to be experienced on foot, where changing light and far-reaching views reveal the enduring appeal of the English countryside.

With a love of this area and of British pre-history, I created the pair in my distinctive digital collage style; two landscapes reimagined through layers of colour, texture and fragments of original artwork. Together, they celebrate not simply what the landscape looks like, but what it holds – history, imagination, memory and a sense of belonging.

A pair of prints for anyone who has walked the Corton Ridgeline (and Monarch's Way) or popular Beacon Circular and who feels a connection to the Somerset landscape and the stories it carries.
