Nestled between Grimsby and Louth, Covenham Reservoir is a 200-acre feat of engineering, completed in the 1970s to supply water to the region. With its elevated concrete walls rising 20m above the Lincolnshire marsh, it offers sweeping views across farmland towards the coast in one direction and the Lincolnshire Wolds in the other. The reservoir is a haven for watersports enthusiasts and attracts a variety of waterfowl and birdlife.
