This particular design was created using snippets from my AI generated images. As part of an experiment, I 'fed' my earlier digital designs into AI software to create a series of images that are seen within this design. All my digital landscapes are 'built' use pieces of my original paintings. This experiment has provided me with another layer of images to work with, creating limitless possibilities.
Designed by Hull architect, Cuthbert Brodick, the magnificent Corn Exchange in Leeds is a historical icon on the local landscape. And while it no longer trades in corn, it it still a hive of business activity, brimming with independent shops and cafes – a real tribute to its former life.
I used to visit regularly in the nineties when I was in my late teens, to potter around the shops and enjoy a day out in Leeds. Back then it was full of small boutique shops that offered something 'a bit different' – similar to its reincarnation in the 21st century. With its oval shape and Italianate-style, it really is a striking building much beloved by locals.
