Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of Bristol’s most recognisable structures, spanning the Avon gorge beneath. The bridge is considered to have marked a turning point in the history of engineering, coming to symbolise the city as one full of original thinkers and a sense of independent spirit.
