The naked chalk man sited above the village of Cerne Abbas in Dorset is Britain’s largest chalk hill figure. At 180ft, he can be seen for miles around, and were you to walk close by his impressive form, you would be rewarded with views of the rolling Dorset countryside below.

Extensive archaeological research places his origins in the late Saxon period as an ancient symbol of fertility.
There are common beliefs that if a woman were to sleep on the figure she would be blessed with many children ... and that having sex on the symbol can cure infertility ... !!
