The semi-natural tidal pool on Summerleaze Beach in Bude is an absolute joy to behold.

Much loved and used by locals, it is a mecca for tourists in the summer months, but is used all year round for those hardy enough to enjoy cold water swimming in the more inclement months!

I have spent many years visiting Bude on an annual basis and used to love swimming in this vast sea pool. For those of you not in the know, Bude is a small town on the north Cornish coast, boasting a number of wonderful beaches – the town bustling with independent shops and cafes. It's well worth a visit!
