Dominating the view across the Somerset levels, this distinctive hill is located halfway between Weston-Super-Mare and Bridgwater. Atop the hill are the earthwork remains of an Iron Age settlement. Interestingly, Brent Knoll is steeped in Arthurian legend, and before the draining of the levels, the hill was known as the Isle of Frogs (Mons Ranarum) acting as a safe haven for locals from the water and marshland below. Also available in this South West series: Wellington Monument, Glastonbury Tor, The Valley of the Rocks, Porlock Bay, Blue Anchor Beach, Culmstock Beacon, Burnham Lighthouse, King's College Taunton, and King's Hall School (Taunton), The Eden Project, Minack Theatre, Jubilee Pool (Penzance) and Clifton Suspension Bridge and more.
