Along the meandering South West coast path, a little north of the surfing activity at Croyde in Devon, lies the slab of rock known as Baggy Point. The rock is popular for climbing and abseiling and affords stunning views across to Lundy island.
Gifted to the National Trust by the Hyde family in 1939, the dramatic headland has been careful managed to ensure a balance between the needs of local wildlife and the hoards of walkers and visitors to the area each year. Once you reach it, although an angled drop, you certainly need a head for heights as you look into the abyss of the crashing waves and rocks below!
