Wholesale Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every wholesale order placed with Vicki Shortt Art. By placing an order, you agree to them.

Last updated: 29 August 2026

1. About us

Vicki Shortt Art is based in Tetney, Lincolnshire. For wholesale enquiries and orders, email sales@vickishortt.com.

In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Vicki Shortt Art, and "you" means the business placing the order.

2. Trade accounts

Wholesale prices are for retail businesses buying our products to resell. We may ask for your business details before accepting a first order.

We may decline a new account, or close an existing one, at our discretion.

Stocking our products does not give you exclusivity in any area unless we have agreed this with you in writing.

3. Placing an order

There is no minimum order value.

Greeting cards are ordered in multiples of 4 per design (4, 8, 12 and so on).

Art prints can be ordered in any quantity per design.

Send your order by email to sales@vickishortt.com, or through any wholesale ordering system we provide.

An order is accepted once we send you an order confirmation or invoice.

If an item is unavailable, we will tell you and either suggest an alternative or remove it from your invoice.

4. Prices

Prices are as shown in our current wholesale price list, which we send to stockists.

We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices.

Greeting cards can be cello-wrapped for 10p per card. Please tell us when you order if you would like this.

We may change our wholesale prices by giving you at least 30 days' notice. Price changes never affect orders we have already accepted.

5. Recommended retail prices

Any recommended retail prices (RRPs) we provide are guidance only. You are free to set your own retail prices.

6. Payment

First orders. Your first order is invoiced pro forma, and payment is due in full before we dispatch it.

Credit terms. After a successful first order, we may offer you 30-day payment terms, subject to our approval. We may set a limit on the amount you can owe at any one time. Invoices on credit terms are due within 30 days of the invoice date.

Pro forma at our discretion. We may ask for pro forma payment on any order, or withdraw credit terms, for example if an invoice is overdue.

Late payment. If an invoice is overdue, we may hold further orders until it is paid. We may also claim interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

How to pay. Please pay using the details on your invoice, quoting the invoice number.

Direct Sales: Orders placed under these terms are firm sale, and we cannot accept returns of unsold stock. Sale or return is available to some stockists by separate written agreement.

Sale or Return: Alongside direct wholesale orders, some of our stockists prefer to work on a sale-or-return basis. You choose the prints you’d like to stock, rather than paying for them upfront, and order more as you need them. At the end of each trading month, the agreed commission is applied to whatever has sold, and you pay us the balance.

7. Delivery

We deliver to UK addresses only. For overseas orders, please contact us first.

Delivery is free on orders of £100 or more.

Orders under £100 are charged postage based on weight and size, usually between £6.05 and £11.05. The exact charge is shown on your invoice.

We dispatch orders within 10 working days. For pro forma orders, this starts once your payment has cleared; for credit accounts, it starts once we accept your order.

Dispatch times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or by events outside our control.

8. Damaged, faulty or missing items

Please check your order when it arrives.

Tell us within 7 days of delivery if anything is damaged, faulty, missing or incorrect, with photos of the items and the packaging.

We will replace the affected items, or credit or refund their cost.

9. Ownership and risk

Responsibility for the goods passes to you on delivery.

The goods remain ours until we have received payment in full. You may still sell them in the normal course of your business before then.

10. Where you can sell

You may sell our products in your shop and on your own website.

Please do not sell our products on online marketplaces, such as Etsy, Amazon or eBay, without our written permission.

11. Images and copyright

Copyright in all artwork and designs remains with Vicki Shortt.

You may use the product images we supply, and your own photos of our products, to promote and sell them in store, online and on social media. Please credit Vicki Shortt Art where you can.

You may not copy, reproduce or adapt our artwork, or use our images for any other purpose.

12. Our liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the price of the goods in that order.

We are not liable for indirect losses or loss of profit.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place an order is the one that applies to it.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Thank you for supporting independent artists.
